The Men In Blue claimed their third Champions Trophy crown following a four-wicket victory over the Black Caps in Dubai on Sunday.
Rohit led India's charge with 76 - including a 105-run stand with Shubman Gill - as they successfully chased a target of 252.
He has now skippered them to successive ICC titles following their triumph at last year's T20 World Cup - after which he retired from the 20-over format.
However, Rohit said there was "no future plan" and that "what is happening will keep happening", when asked if he will play on in ODIs.
"I'm not going to retire from this format, just to make sure that no rumours are spread going forward," he told reporters at a press conference.
"The crowd have been magnificent. It's not our home ground, but they've made it our home ground.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli saluted his team-mates and said the future was bright for India's teams.
"We wanted to win a big tournament, and that's what we've ended up doing," he said.
"It's an amazing feeling, lovely to be playing with such amazing youngsters. So much talent in the dressing room, and they're taking Indian cricket forward in the right direction.
